Petra Wiedmer

Petra is a nutrition scientist/biologist and graduated in 1999 from the University of Potsdam. She defended her PhD thesis in 2004, which built the basis of her current work residing in the regulation of energy homeostasis with emphasis to mechanisms leading to obesity. She is now working at the German Institute of Human Nutrition in close collaboration with NEON in Cincinnati. Her main research interests are the central regulation of body fat mass as well as the afferent and efferent control of energy balance and glucose homeostasis.
