Nancy is studying Nutritional Science at the University of Potsdam. She has been working at the German Institute for Human Nutrition since 2004, starting as a Student Assistant. She is currently completing her diploma thesis which is mentored by Petra Wiedmer and investigates the effect of hyperghrelinemia in a mouse model of growth hormone deficiency. Nancy is interested in the interrelations of body mass regulation and energy metabolism in animal models of obesity that may help to identify drug targets for obesity treatment. After receiving her diploma, Nancy plans to continue scientific work in this same field.
