WHO WE ARE:
|
The Partnership for Health Care Change is an organization that is committed to providing the
resources that promote positive health care change. Our vision is that change occurs because
we accept that the status quo is no longer acceptable. It takes a broad and constructive effort
that is guided by partnerships that are based in evidence and grounded in compassion. The
organization is affiliated with the
Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati
College of Medicine.

WHAT WE DO:
|
We are a convener; a bridge. Our mission is to provide a resource that promotes partnerships
that strive to change health care from what it has been to what it can be. We believe that the
tools for change should be publicly shared and commonly available.
Improving the Quality of
Health Care for Mental and Substance-Use Conditions, the recently
released IOM report (2005), provides an important framework for health care change. This
report is featured as a resource on this site. In an attempt to promote dissemination and
implementation of the IOM report, and foster change in the care of mental and substance use care,
the materials that are available on this site are provided in the public domain. The Partnership
for Health Care Change strives to support initiatives that improve the quality and coordination
of care and facilitate resources that challenge this goal.
