The Division of Bipolar Disorders Research at the University of Cincinnati is devoted to conducting research to clarify the causes of bipolar disorder, as well as improve treatment for patients with this condition. Among the staff are several physicians who are experts in the care of children, adolescents, and adults with bipolar disorder. All of the staff have extensive experience working with people with mood and other psychiatric disorders.

Studies are being conducted in many specific research areas.
